"If Speak"

On pg. 299, Anna describes, "If Speak"- the language that all children know, but abandon as they grow older. She says that, "Kids think with their brains cracked wide open; becoming an adult, I've decided, is only a slow sewing shut." Do you believe this is true? What might children teach the adults in this book? Which adults need the lessons more?

Answer ALL parts of the question.

ok well i kinda agree with this
but then i kinda don't because just because your not a child anymore doesn't mean you don't have an imagination

I dont really know if i agree with anna because i dont know if older people use there imagination or not and being older does not mean you do not use your imagination so it is kind of hard to say whether or not older people dont use there imagination like younger people

I don't necessarily believe that this is true. When you are older you still use your imagination, but it's more realistic. You think more into depth and more seriously. Children might teach the adults to have fun and let go of some things. Uptight people need the lesson more. You should always live your life and have fun.

I believe tat ifspeak is true, it dose seem that little kids have more imagination then adults. Infact some kids believe that the moon is made out of cheese so it shows that kids have an imaginations that run wild.

No i don't agree with this. Some adults still act like children and have large imaginations. Like people who make movies, they have to have imaginations to do the stuff they do.

i don't think its true because no matter how old you get you will always have an imagination it just might be as good as your when you was a child.

I agree that kids do stop using their imagination as they get older. they start to become over practical only thinking about the most possible problems and solutions. adults lack the ability to be creative and have fun and use their imagination. i think the kids in this book cant teach the adult anything because the adults no longer have the ability learn and use their imagination. when we were little we didn't need anything to be happy but our imagination when we grow up most of us think we need alchol or drugs to have fun we cant just sit and watch a cartoon we have to constantly be doing something to bend or break the rules.

YES I DO AGREE WITH HER BECAUSE YES ALOT OF CHILDREN WHEN THEY GET OLDER DO LOSE THEIR SINCE OF IMAGINATION.WHY BECAUSE THEY HAVE MORE RESPONSIBILLTY TO TAKE CARE OF. AND THEY LOSE THEIR SINCE OF FUN.

I think its true, because a lot of younger kids have an imagination and when I was younger and I had full of imagination but as I got older and my imagination became realistic and realize this is not imagination it's real life.
