I think i would be upset with my Daughter because she is sueing me. although the way i feel about the issue i would have never created anna in the first place. if i were her parents i would feel the way her parents feel in the book since ur saying i am them i would have the same thought proccess and feelings.

I believe Jesse is using the fires as a type of punishment, of sorts, for his father. He feels like the black sheep of the family, and obviously is. Starting the fires is Jesse's secret way of payback. He knows his father is the one putting them out. He knows his father is unlikely to figure out who it is.
